I grew up on the stormy beaches of the Baltic Sea, a place of variegated moods and dramatic and inspiring images. As a child, my only camera was an imaginary one, but I was content to develop pictures in my mind. Even now, my imagination thrills when I hold a real camera. i am amazed how it is possible to capture emotion, wit, determination and intelligence through such a supremely technical craft.
